On behalf of the South African Association of Veterinary Technologists (SAAVT), the World Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians, and the global veterinary laboratory diagnosticians, we are delighted to invite you to the 22nd Symposium of the World Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians (ISWAVLD) in 2027 that will take place in Cape Town, South Africa from 8 to 11 December 2027. The award-winning Cape Town International Convention Centre will host local and international delegates at the backdrop of the iconic Table mountain.

For more than five decades, this prestigious symposium has brought together global leaders in veterinary diagnostics. This marks a historic first: the ISWAVLD symposium will be hosted on African soil – a milestone long overdue. The time has come for Africa to claim its place on the world stage, and for ISWAVLD to be welcomed to a continent it has never visited before.
